Mission Statement

THE ORGANIZATION COMMUNICATES THE NEED FOR PROFESSIONAL RELEASE OF MEDICAL INFORMATION SERVICES AND GIVES LEGISLATORS INFORMATION THAT AFFECTS THE CREATION OF LAWS REGARDING PRIVACY OF MEDICAL INFORMATION AND OTHER ASSOCIATED LAWS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES A CERTIFICATE TESTING PROGRAM FOR INDVIDUALS HANDLING MEDICAL INFORMATION AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES AT THE AHIMA ANNUAL MEETING.
