Data Accuracy

Payment Terms
Payments for reports and audits are processed securely through Stripe. All sales are final. Reports will be delivered to the email address provided within 3-5 business days.
Prohibited Uses
You may not use our service for any unlawful purpose, to harass individuals, or to violate any applicable laws or regulations.
Limitation of Liability
Civic Register LLC's liability is limited to the amount paid for our services. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

Scope
This policy covers compensation990.com and subdomains operated by Civic Register LLC. The service is intended for US residents.

We do not currently offer site accounts.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information (US state laws)
Summary
US privacy laws (e.g., California) may define 'sell' or 'share' broadly, including targeted or cross‑context advertising. We provide controls so you can opt out of 'sale'/'sharing' for targeted advertising.
How to exercise
Open 'Manage cookies' or visit #manage-choices to turn off Ads & Personalization. We also honor supported browser signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC).
Current practice
We show ads and measurement via Google AdSense. Personalized advertising runs only if you consent to Ads & Personalization. We may engage in targeted advertising in the future; your choices here will continue to apply.
Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites. You can opt out of personalized ads using Google Ads Settings or via industry opt-out tools (e.g., DAA WebChoices ). You can also use our cookie controls to disable Ads & Personalization.

What we collect (by feature)
- Contact: email you provide for updates.
- Usage/interaction: pages, clicks, search queries, filters.
- Technical: IP address, device/browser info, language.
- Payments: processed by Stripe; we store minimal metadata (no full card numbers).
- Advertising: ad views/measurement; personalization only with consent.
- Email marketing: subscription status and engagement (opt‑in).
- Accounts: not currently offered; if accounts are added later, we will collect login and profile information relevant to that feature.
How we use information
Operate and secure the site; measure and improve features; process payments; power search; send emails you request; show ads and measure performance (personalization only with consent); comply with law.
Retention
- Server logs: ~90 days.
- Analytics identifiers: up to ~13 months.
- Payment records (Stripe metadata): up to ~7 years for tax/compliance.
- Email subscription records: until you unsubscribe + up to ~30 days for suppression.
- Ad preference/consent: until you change your settings or clear cookies.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to our size and the data we handle. No method is 100% secure.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13.
Your privacy rights (US)
Depending on your state, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your information, and to opt out of targeted advertising or 'sale'/'sharing'. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
How to submit requests
Email info@civicregister.com with your request. We may need to verify your identity.
Authorized agents (minimal acceptance)
We accept authorized‑agent requests only for opt‑out of 'sale'/'sharing'/targeted advertising and may require proof of authorization and consumer verification. For other requests, the consumer must contact us directly.
Appeals
If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision and including 'Appeal' in the subject line. We will respond within 30 days.

We will update this page when practices change and revise the 'Effective date' at the top.
