ABA IS DEDICATED TO THE PRINCIPLES OF FREE ENTERPRISE, COMPETITION AND THE ECONOMIC HEALTH OF THE ENTIRE FOOD INDUSTRY, AND FUNCTIONS PRIMARILY IN THE AREAS OF GOVERNMENT RELATIONS (FEDERAL AND STATE), INDUSTRY RELATIONS, COMMUNICATIONS, CONVENTIONS AND MEETINGS. ABA ENCOURAGES MEMBERSHIP INVOLVEMENT IN ALL PHASES OF ITS ACTIVITIES AND RECOGNIZES THAT MEMBERSHIP INVOLVEMENT IS ESSENTIAL TO THE SUCCESSFUL ACHIEVEMENT OF ITS GOALS.
