Mission Statement

The organization is a local section of the American Chemical Society ACS a federally chartered 501c3 charitable nonprofit scientific and educational organization. As an affiliated unit operating under ACSs group exemption GEN 0945 the local section advances the Societys mission to promote the knowledge and practice of chemistry through educational programs scientific meetings community outreach and professional development activities. The section is organized and operated exclusively for charitable scientific and educational purposes consistent with those of the ACS.
