THE SUBJECTS FOR STUDY, EXAMINATION, AND RESEARCH INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, EDUCATION AND PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES, MEDICAL, HEALTH, SAFETY, EMPLOYER-EMPLOYEE RELATIONS, RULES, REGULATIONS, AND LAWS APPLICABLE TO THE AMI AND OTHER RELATED MODES OF TRANSPORTATION; 2) TO FOSTER SUITABLE STANDARDS FOR THE WELFARE OF THE AMI; 3) TO IMPROVE COMMUNICATION BETWEEN REPRESENTATIVES OF LABOR AND MANAGEMENT IN THE AMI AND OTHER RELATED MODES OF TRANSPORTATION; 4) TO EXPAND AND IMPROVE WORKING RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN WORKERS AND MANAGERS IN THE AMI AND OTHER RELATED MODES OF TRANSPORTATION; AND 5) TO ENHANCE THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE AMI AND TO STUDY AND EXPLORE WAYS OF ELIMINATING POTENTIAL PROBLEMS THAT REDUCE THE COMPETITIVENESS OF THE AMI AND INHIBIT ITS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.
