Mission Statement

PURPOSE: Promote and educate the US people and government as to the services that American Merchant Mariners have provided to the nation in connection with the war efforts and preservation of national security and the value of maintaining and support a strong American Merchant Marine fleet. This is done by the publishment of a quarterly AMMV Magazine, an annual convention, recording the history of merchant mariners and honoring Merchant Marine veterans at parades, memorials and ceremonies.
