THE MUSEUM'S MISSION IS TO ACQUIRE SAFEGUARD, RESTORE AND DISPLAY AMERICAN HISTORICAL ARTIFACTS THAT WERE ONCE AN ESSENTIAL PART OF AMERICA'S RICH FARM TRADITION. WITH HELP FROM GOVERNMENT GRANTS, INDIVIDUAL GRANTS AND DONATIONS THE MUSEUM HAS ALSO BUILT AN EXTENSIVE DISPLAY OF PAST AMERICAN FARM BUILDINGS. THROUGH ITS VARIOUS COMMUNITY PROGRAMS AND EVENTS, THE MUSEUM SEEKS TO EDUCATE THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN THE HISTORY AND EVOLUTION OF AMERICAN FARMS AND FARM CULTURE AND SERVES AS THE PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL LINK BETWEEN PAST AND PRESENT AMERICAN FARM CULTURES. THE MUSEUM ALSO PROVIDES A HISTORICAL ENVIRONMENT FOR NUMEROUS COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES AND SOCIAL FUNCTIONS.
