Mission Statement

TO PROMOTE THE STUDY OF ARCHEOLOGY AND ANTHROPOLOGY, ESPECIALLY BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE PREHISTORIC AND HISTORIC PERIODS IN VIRGINIA. TO WORK FOR THE PROPER CONSERVATION AND EXPLORATION OF ARCHEOLOGICAL SITES AND MATERIALS. TO ENCOURAGE THE SCIENTIFIC STUDY OF ARCHEOLOGICAL SITE.
