Mission Statement

Artes Vocales' mission is to enrich the musical tapestry of Los Angeles through its highly innovative choral programming and partnerships with LA-based musicians. Artes Vocales provides vocalists with precision-based vocal pedagogy in bel canto singing technique, while offering opportunities to gifted soloists. Our mission extends to performing historically and culturally varied repertoire. We nurture collaborations with highly sought-after Los Angeles composers, including Shawn Kirchner, Reena Esmail, and Joseph Julian Gonzalez. Artes Vocales is to provide performance opportunities for musicians who are launching their careers. What distinguishes Artes Vocales from other community choirs is our focus on vocal technique. It is our aim to continue to expand the arts and cultural experiences of greater Los Angeles audiences by featuring the works of local composers in enriching concert programming, while providing singular opportunities to gifted LA-based singers and musicians
