ACP is a group committed to identifying and providing leadership on selected issues important to driving the economic development of the city of Atlanta and for which the ACP's active involvement will make a major difference. The ACP has a bias for action and is committed to accomplishing this mission in the most effective way possible. Accordingly, the ACP operates based on the following principles:1. Focus principally on the city of Atlanta but coordinate its activities with other organizations to ensure maximum impact for the region as a whole.2. Focus on a limited number of issues critical to economic development.3. Work through existing organizations to accomplish its goals whenever possible.4. Address issues with analytical rigor, including the use of clear work plans, metrics, milestones, and deadlines.5. Make decisions through its board of directors, a member only body (no substitutes) consisting of Chief executive-level position.
