Mission Statement
AXIA PROJECT PROVIDES ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS TO UNDER RESOURCED STUDENTS. OUR ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS ARE HELD AFTER SCHOOL. WE OFFER MATH TUTORING TO STUDENTS WHO REQUIRE AND/OR DESIRE HELP WITH HOMEWORK, TEST PREPARATION, AND TEST POST-REVIEW. OUR STUDENTS INCLUDE ONES FROM SPECIAL EDUCATION AS WELL. WE ALSO PROVIDE A SCREENWRITING AND FILMMAKING CLASS, WHERE STUDENTS CREATE A SCRIPT AND FILM IT OVER THE SCHOOL YEAR. MENTORS ARE PRESENT TO TEACH OTHER ASPECTS OF FILMMAKING, SUCH AS ACTING, DIRECTING, STORYBOARDING, LIGHTNING, AND SOUND.
