THE BIOTECHNOLOGY INSTITUTE HAS SET A COURSE TO BE THE RECOGNIZED LEADER IN BIOTECHNOLOGY EDUCATION AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL. ITS MISSION IS TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS WITH LOCAL, REGIONAL, STATE AND NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES TO SUPPORT THE PURSUIT OF LIFELONG LEARNING ABOUT THE PROMISE, ACHIEVEMENTS AND CHALLENGES OF BIOTECHNOLOGY. THE FOCUS IS ACTIVE SUPPORT FOR TEACHERS AND STUDENTS, ESPECIALLY IN THE UNITED STATES, TO PURSUE STUDIES, TRAINING, AND CAREERS IN BIOTECHNOLOGY FROM PRE-COLLEGE THROUGH GRADUATE YEARS.
