CAJAL ACADEMY'S MISSION IS TO EMPOWER CHILDREN TO OPTIMIZE THEIR OWN LEARNING, SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL EXPERIENCES. WE DO THIS THROUGH THREE PRIMARY ACTIVITIES: 1. WE OPERATE A SMALL SPECIAL EDUCATION SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN HAVING VERY HIGH ANALYTICAL SKILLS, AS MEASURED VIA NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENTS, COUPLED WITH AN AREA OF LEARNING, SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL, NEUROPHYSIOLOGICAL OR CHRONIC MEDICAL DIFFERENCE; 2. WE ARE DEVELOPING NEW GENERAL AND SPECIAL EDUCATION APPROACHES THAT BETTER ALIGN WITH CURRENT NEUROSCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND UNDERSTANDINGS ABOUT HOW CHILDREN LEARN, SOCIALIZE, DEVELOP AND GROW; AND 3.
