Mission Statement

California Biomass Energy Alliance promotes biomass energy as a means of productive and renewable energy by:1) Reviewing and monitoring proposed legislation as well as regulatory developments regarding electric energy generation in general and the Biomass Electric Generation Industry specifically. Discussing and taking a position on such proposed and passed legislation.2) Representing the interests of members and the Biomass Electric Generation Industry before various state legislative and regulatory bodies, as well as local governmental bodies and regulatory agencies and advocating for or against new legislative or regulatory measures surrounding the industry.3) Educating industry, government legislative bodies and regulatory agencies, and the general public, regarding the benefits of biomass energy by publishing position papers and research on its website at Calbiomass.org as well as in other publications or newsletters.
