Mission Statement

The Callie Golden Foundation's mission is to welcome children who have disabilities into the life of the classroom. The foundation will accomplish this mission by granting money to schools - money designated to help students who have disabilities gain better access to their traditional classroom. These grants could help pay for additional staffing, building modifications, adaptive equipment, or any other need that prevents a student from fully participating with their peers. The foundation accepted its first grant applications in April 2024 for the 2024-2025 school year. To raise money for these grants, the foundation has chosen to focus on organizing a concert to be held on the second Sunday in October each year. The concert itself is free but the foundation solicited sponsors for the event as well as collected donations during the event. This concert provided a means to increase awareness of the foundation and highlight its first grant recipient.
