Mission Statement

TO BE A CLEARINGHOUSE OF EVIDENCE-BASED INFORMATION THAT WILL EDUCATE THE COMMUNITY ON DYSLEXIA, AS WELL AS HOW TO NAVIGATE THE CURRENT EDUCATION SYSTEM WITH THIS LEARNING DISABILITY BY PROVIDING RESOURCES TO THOSE IN NEED. HIGH PROFILE EVENTS WILL CREATE SPACES OF CELEBRATION AND AWARENESS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE. COMMUNITY OUTREACH EVENTS WILL BE ORGANIZED AND OFFERED TO PARENTS AND TEACHERS ALIKE INCLUDING EXPERIENCE DYSLEXIA SIMULATOR AS WELL AS EVIDENCE-BASED RESEARCH ON THE IMPORTANCE OF EARLY IDENTIFICATION AND INTERVENTIONS. WE WILL ALSO WORK WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS TO SCHOLARSHIP TEACHERS WHO WANT TO BECOME DYSLEXIA CERTIFIED AND/OR BECOME QUALIFIED INSTRUCTORS. ADDITIONALLY, WE WORK WITH MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS TO OBTAIN MEDICAL INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR THE IDENTIFICATION AND TREATMENT OF DYSLEXIA.
