Central Oregon Villages Mission is to advocate for and provide safe and secure shelter,housing and related services in Central Oregon for unhoused populations or those atrisk for becoming unhoused. The purposes of Central Oregon Villages shall be to:1. Promote and encourage in Central Oregon the recognition of homelessness as apublic health crisis;2. Foster public awareness within Central Oregon of alternative housing andshelter options such as managed camps or villages;3. Promote a sense of dignity, community and belonging among unhousedpopulations in Central Oregon by providing safe, secure shelter and access tonecessary services that are designed to lead to self-sufficiency and permanenthousing;4. Create and operate one or more villages that provide safe and secure temporaryshelter for residents and which provide case management and centralizedaccess to services that will promote resident self-sufficiency and movementtoward permanent housing.5.
