Mission Statement
Chicago Fringe Opera (CFO) is dedicated to presenting innovative vocal works with an emphasis on new and contemporary styles, engaging with the Chicago community through intimate and immersive performance experiences, and fostering and empowering local artists. CFO performs classical vocal and chamber music through various staged and produced performances, and provides education on the artform. Performances include two mainstage operatic productions, 1-2 recitals, and other performances and community building events throughout the year. In our FY22 (tax year 2021), we moved to a hybrid model producing live performances, streaming filmed versions of live performances, as well as digital film content.
