CIRCLE THE WAGONS IS A UTAH BASED NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES SURVIVORS OF VIOLENT CRIME, THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS AND THEIR FRIENDS WITH INFORMATION AND RESOURCES TO HELP THEM RECOVER FROM THE TRAUMA OF THEIR EXPERIENCE. CIRCLE THE WAGONS FOUNDER VICKIE WALKER LAUNCHED THE ORGANIZATION TO SUPPORT PEOPLE WHO ARE IN THE UNFORTUNATE POSITION OF HAVING TO COPE IN THE AFTERMATH OF A VIOLENT CRIME WITHOUT ADEQUATE SUPPORT AND INFORMATION. VICKIES FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE BEGAN WHEN HER HUSBAND JEFF WAS KILLED DURING THE TROLLEY SQUARE RAMPAGE ON FEBRUARY 12, 2007 IN SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH AT THE TROLLEY SQUARE MALL. HER SON, A.J., 16-YEARS OLD AT THE TIME, WAS ALSO SHOT BUT MIRACULOUSLY SURVIVED. THE INCREDIBLE SUPPORT OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS WHO CIRCLED THE WAGONS AROUND VICKIE AND HER FAMILY ULTIMATELY HELPED THEM FIND THE COURAGE TO MOVE ON AFTER THIS HORRIFIC EVENT. BY SHARING HER EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE, VICKIE HOPES TO HELP OTHERS FIND THE SUPPORT THEY NEED TO HEAL MORE QUICKLY AND FI
