Mission Statement

IN THE 21ST CENTURY, LIBRARIES ARE A DESTINATION, A PLACE OF PRIDE, A "COMMUNITY LIVING ROOM" FOR ALL MEMBERS WHO BELONG TO IT. THEY OFFER SERVICES TO THE REGION BY CONNECTING PATRONS TO ONE ANOTHER AND TO RESOURCES THAT AREN'T AVAILABLE AT HOME OR WORK. THE CITY OF MARTIN PUBLIC LIBRARY FOUNDATION BOARD IS PREPARING TO TRANSFORM THE CURRENT LIBRARY INTO A 21ST CENTURY LIBRARY, AND ONE THAT WILL BECOME THE CITY'S CENTER.
