HEAD START'S MISSION IS TO SUPPORT THE GROWTH OF STRONG, HEALTHY FAMILIES AND TO PROVIDE YOUNG CHILDREN WITH A HEAD START IN SCHOOL READINESS. THE MISSION OF EARLY HEAD START IS TO PROMOTE HEALTHY PRENATAL OUTCOMES FOR PREGNANT WOMEN, ENHANCE DEVELOPMENT OF VERY YOUNG CHILDREN AND PROMOTE HEALTHY FAMILY FUNCTIONING.
