Using mountain climbing as a fund raising pledge format, along with general fund raising events and drives, the organization exists to provide education to 1) prevent the onset of diabetes, particularly in under served populations, and 2) to mitigate the effects of diabetes among those already afflicted, also particularly in under served populations
