IN FURTHERANCE OF SUCH PURPOSES, CEPI US SHALL ENGAGE ACTIVITIES PROMOTING THE OBJECTIVES OF COALITION FOR EPIDEMIC PREPAREDNESS INNOVATIONS (CEPI), AN INTERNATIONAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION FORMED TO WORK TOWARDS A WORLD IN WHICH EPIDEMICS AND PANDEMICS ARE NO LONGER A THREAT TO HUMANITY, BY ACCELERATING THE DEVELOPMENT, MANUFACTURE AND STOCKPILING OF VACCINES AND SELECT BIOLOGICALS NECESSARY TO RESPOND TO EMERGING INFECTIOUS DISEASES FOR WHICH THERE IS MARKET FAILURE, OR NO COMMERCIAL MARKETS EXIST.
