TO PRESERVE, APPRECIATE AND ENCOURAGE THE LEGACY OF SKIING ANDSNOWBOARDING IN COLORADO BY INCREASING KNOWLEDGE OF AND PROVIDINGINSPIRATION FOR SKIING/SNOWBOARDING; AND TO COLLECT AND PRESERVE(BOTH IN THE SHORT AND LONG RUN) COLORADO SKI CURRENT AND HISTORICALPHOTOGRAPHS, FILMS, EXHIBITS, ARTIFACTS, EQUIPMENT AND CLOTHING,REPRESENTING OVER 130 YEARS OF COLORADO SKIING, INCLUDING THE LEGACY OF THE 10TH MOUNTAIN ARMY DIVISON AS IT RELATED TO COLORADO AND WORLD WAR II AND BEYOND. ALSO DAILY FILMS, LECTURES AND PRESENTATIONS ARE GIVEN RELATED TO THE 10TH MOUNTAIN ARMY DIV. COLORADO SKI MUSEUM ALSO RECOGNIZES IN THEIR HALL OF FAME THOSE WHO HAVE MADE AN IMPACT WITH RESPECT TO COLORADO SKIING/SNOWBOARDING. FACILITY IS OPEN ON A DAILYBASIS WITH FREE ADMISSION. THE MUSEUM PROVIDES FREE TOURS OF THE MUSEUM AND SUROUNDING VAIL MOUNTAIN AREA. THOUSANDS HAVE BEEN SERVED, EDUCATED AND INSPIRED BY THE COLORADO SKI MUSEUM.
