Mission Statement

The mission of the Colorado Springs Jazz Society (CSJS) is to promote and enhance the knowledge and appreciation of Jazz music throughout the Pikes Peak Region of Southern Colorado. CSJS hosts cabaret-style performances focusing on spontaneity and collaboration among professional musicians performing in different groups rather than set pieces with organized bands. The applicant's master class program takes place at the same time with professional artists working closely with music students from all El Paso High Schools. They receive instrument specific instructions from the musicians to refine their music skills, knowledge, technique and presence.
