THE PURPOSE OF THE COLUMBIA RIVER YACHT CLUB IS TO PROVIDE MOORAGE FOR BOATS OF ITS MEMBERS, TOGETHER WITH SOCIAL AND YACHTING ACTIVITIES FOR THE MEMBER WITHOUT PROFIT. THE CLUB SHALL CONTINUE TO BE AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE COLUMBIA RIVER YACHTING ASSOCIATION, AN ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO BOATING AND WATER SAFETY, SHALL ACTIVELY ENGAGE IN PROTECTING AND CONSERVING ENERGY AND THE ENVIRONMENT AS IT RELATES TO WATERWAY USAGE, SHALL SEEK THROUGH ITS MEMBERSHIP WAYS AND MEANS TO ASSIST AND PROMOTE MEANINGFUL LEGISLATION TO ACHIEVE THESE PURPOSES, AND SHALL ALLOW THE USE OF ITS FACILITIES TO BOATING EDUCATIONAL AND SAFETY ORIENTED GROUPS, SUCH AS THE US COAST GUARD AND THE UNITED STATES POWER SQUADRON.
