THE EXEMPT PURPOSE OF THE COLUMBUS AND CENTRAL OHIO CHILDREN'S CHORUS FOUNDATION IS TO SUSTAIN A CHILDREN'S CHORAL PROGRAM OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY,WHICH GUIDES SINGERS TOWARDS ARTISTIC EXCELLANCE BY TEACHING THEM TO APPRECIATE A VARIETY OF LITERATURE, ENCOURAGING THEM TO MAXIMIZE THEIR OWN MUSICAL ABILITY AND ENRICHING THEIR LIVES BY EXPOSING SINGERS TO PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES AROUND THE WORLD. THE GOALS OF THE CHILDRENS CHORAL PROGRAM INCLUDE: -ACHIEVE THE ARTISTIC EXCELLANCE NECESSARY TO PERFORM IN A VARIETY OF SETTINGS; -ENSURE THAT CHOIR MEMBERS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE AND DEMONSTRATE LITERACY IN MUSICAL CONCEPTS AND SKILLS; -INSTILL A SENSE OF DISCIPLINE, SELF,ESTEEM, RESPONSIBILITY AND COMMITMENT IN ALL CHOIR MEMBERS; -PROVIDE ACCESS TO THE CHOIR FOR CHILDREN FROM ALL CULTURAL AND ECONOMIC BACKGROUND; -SERVE AS A MODEL FOR CHILDREN'S CHORAL LITERATURE AND LOCAL TRAINING; AND -FOSTER NEW ARRANGEMENTS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR CHILDREN'S CHOIRS
