COMMUNITY ACTION COUNCIL OF HOWARD COUNTY ADMINISTERS AND DELIVERS FIVE CORE SERVICES TO LOW TO MODERATE INCOME FAMILIES IN HOWARD COUNTY AND WEATHERIZATION SERVICES STATEWIDE. THE SERVICES INCLUDE ENERGY ASSISTANCE, EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION HEAD START AND PRE-K, HOUSING ASSISTANCE, FOOD ASSISTANCE, AND WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE. IN ADDITION TO PAID STAFF, THOSE SERVICES WERE OFFERED WITH THE HELP OF 775 VOLUNTEERS PROVIDING OVER 16,335 HOURS OF SERVICE IN THE CURRENT YEAR.
