THE ORGANIZATION SERVES CHILD MALTREATMENT VICTIMS AND ADULT SEXUAL ASSAULT VICTIMS BY PROVIDING FREE AND CONFIDENTIAL COUNSELING, ADVOCACY, FORENSIC INTERVIEWING, CRISIS INTERVENTION, ASSISTANCE FILING 50-C'S/UVISA'S/VICTIMS COMPENSATION, ACCOMPANIMENT, AND CHILD MEDICAL TREATMENT. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION MAINTAINS A 24-HOUR CRISIS LINE, STAFFED BY VOLUNTEERS, WHICH IS AVAILABLE TO PROVIDE SUPPORT AND ACCOMPANIMENT SERVICES AT ANYTIME THAT IS NEEDED. THE ORGANIZATION COORDINATES MULTI-DISCLIPINARY TEAM. PARTNERS INCLUDE: LAW ENFORCEMENT, THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE, DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES, DEPARTMENT OF JUVENILE JUSTICE, THE GUARDIAN AD LITEM PROGRAM, ALAMANCE BURLINGTON SCHOOL SYSTEM, AND THE LOCAL MENTAL HEALTH ENTITY. THE ORGANIZATION HAS 18 EMPLOYEES AND TWO CONTRACT THERAPISTS, AS WELL AS 20 PLUS VOLUNTEERS WHO DEDICATE AN AVERAGE OF 4,700 HOURS PER YEAR.
