We were created to preserve local military history run museum operations in DeLand and preserve the history of the DeLand Warboats including WW2 tugboat US Army ST479 which was built in DeLand and finally returned after 78 years in 2023. We have never received a grant from any source and our work for the City of DeLand is on a voluntary basis. We have raised funds as needed in the past from local donors to include funds to return ST479 Tiger. Our work includes coordination of local veterans events cleaning and repairing veterans headstones and preservation of all local military history.
