THE DELAWARE VALLEY HEALTH CARE COALITION, INC. (DVHCC) IS A VOLUNTARY ASSOCIATION COMPRISED OF UNION HEALTH & WELFARE AND PENSION FUNDS. THE DVHCC WAS PRIMARILY FOUNDED TO ENSURE QUALITY SERVICE HEALTH CARE AND TO CONTROL AND REDUCE HEALTH CARE COSTS THROUGH DEEP DISCOUNT MASS PURCHASING, WHILE ALLOWING EACH HEALTH & WELFARE AND PENSION FUND TO STAY AUTONOMOUS, AND TO ENSURE THE AVAILABILITY OF INNOVATIVE, QUALITY HEALTH CARE, INSURANCE, FINANCIAL AND AFFINITY DELIVERY SYSTEMS FOR PARTICIPANTS OF THE PLANS AND THEIR BENEFICIARIES. THE DVHCC THUS ENSURES A BETTER WAY OF LIFE FOR OUR UNION MEMBERS AND THEIR FAMILIES, AND ALLOWS OUR UNION EMPLOYERS TO BE COMPETITIVE WITH THEIR NON-UNION COUNTERPARTS, THEREBY FACILITATING, IN TURN, AN INCREASE TO THE NUMBER OF UNION RANK AND FILE MEMBERS.
