DKMS LEADS THE FIGHT TO DEFEAT BLOOD CANCER BY EMPOWERING PEOPLE TO TAKE ACTION, GIVE BONE MARROW AND SAVE LIVES. DKMS IS THE LARGEST BONE MARROW DONOR CENTER IN THE WORLD. DKMS' PRINICPAL ACTIVITES ARE TO: 1) RECRUIT BONE MARROW DONORS TO INCREASE THE CHANCES FOR PATIENTS TO FIND A LIFE-SAVING DONOR MATCH; 2) COORDINATE THE TRANSPORTS OF BONE MARROW OR BLOOD STEM CELL PRODUCTS FROM GERMAN DONORS TO U.S. PATIENTS; AND 3) FACILITATE BONE MARROW TRANSPLANTS BETWEEN DKMS' DONORS AND BLOOD CANCER PATIENTS WORLDWIDE.
