TO ASSIST FAMILES AND INDIVIDUALS THROUGHOUT THE WASHINGTON DC METROPOLITAN AREA WITH (USUALLY) ONE-TIME FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR EMERGENCY EXPENSES SUCH AS MEDICAL, SHELTER, CLOTHING, FOOD, EVACUATION, FUNERAL AND OTHER EXPENSES THAT ARE INCURRED DURING AN UNFORESEEN CRISIS. THIS IMPORTANT, NEW AND GROWING PROGRAM PROVIDES CRITICAL SUPPORT DURING TIMES OF NEED.
