Mission Statement

THE SCHOOL OF COMMERCE WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1928 IN NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA TO PROVIDE IMPORTANT EDUCATIONAL SERVICES TO THE GROWING NUMBER OF AFRICAN AMERICANS SEEKING TO ENHANCE THEIR EMPLOYABILITY. THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE SCHOOL OF COMMERCE SERVED AS AN IMPORTANT LINK OF TRAINING IN THE AREA OF ACCOUNTING, BOOKKEEPING, SPEED WRITING, TYPING, OFFICE MANAGEMENT, GENERAL COLLEGE PREPARATORY, AND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION COURSES.
