Mission Statement

The annual Durango Cowboy Poetry Gathering in October of each year. Poets and musicians go in the schools and senior care facilities and Parade on Saturday of the week of the Gathering as well as hold evening and daytime poetry and music performances. The Gathering board and professional volunteers hold an annual contest in the schools for students to submit art and poetry work. Winners of those contests perform at the Gathering each fall with adult performers.
