FOUNDED ON OCTOBER 3, 2014, EAST HARLEM COMMUNITY LEARNING PROGRAM, INC. ("EHCLP") WAS ESTABLISHED TO CREATE AND SUPPORT OPPORTUNITIES TO IMPROVE EDUCATION FOR EAST HARLEM RESIDENTS. EHCLP WILL ACCOMPLISH ITS MISSION BY CREATING PROGRAMS AND EVENTS, PROVIDING FUNDING (THROUGH EITHER LOW INTEREST LOANS OR GRANTS), AND COLLABORATING WITH PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS, THAT WILL CREATE NEW LEARNING FACILITIES; PROVIDE SERVICES TO CHILDREN AND ADULTS TO ENHANCE ACADEMIC AND SOCIAL OUTCOMES; AND FOSTER LIFE-LONG LEARNING TO STRENGTHEN COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT IN LEARNING.
