TO EFFECT AND ENCOURGAGE PRESERVATION, RESTORATION, AND APPROPRIATE PRESENTATION OF THE TOWN OF EDENTON AND CHOWAN COUNTY, AS A HISTORIC, EDUCATIONAL AND AESTHETIC PLACE, TO THE BENEFIT OF THE CITIZENS OF THE PLACE AND STATE AND OF VISITORS.
