EDMONDS DRIFTWOOD PLAYERS (EDP) IS A VOLUNTEER-BASED, 501(C)(3) NONPROFIT COMMUNITY THEATRE THAT SERVES THE COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING QUALITY LIVE THEATRE PRODUCTIONS AND LONGSTANDING OUTREACH, EDUCATION, SCHOLARSHIP, AND VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS. BY CREATING A VIBRANT, ACCESSIBLE COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE, EDP HAS ENHANCED THE CULTURE AND QUALITY-OF-LIFE IN WESTERN WASHINGTON SINCE 1958. EDP IS ONE OF THE STATE'S OLDEST CONTINUOUSLY OPERATING COMMUNITY THEATRES AND AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF WASHINGTON'S FIRST CERTIFIED CREATIVE DISTRICT IN EDMONDS. EDP HAS A SMALL STAFF, A BOARD OF DIRECTORS, AND A YEAR-ROUND COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER PROGRAM THAT IS OPEN TO ANYONE AGED TWELVE AND ABOVE. VOLUNTEERS DONATED ALMOST 15,000 HOURS OF THEIR TIME IN SUPPORT OF EDP'S PRODUCTIONS AND PROGRAMS THIS SEASON. AT EDP, WE TAKE PRIDE IN OPENING OUR DOORS TO THOSE WHO ARE CURIOUS OR HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO BE INVOLVED WITH THEATRE BUT NEVER HAD THE CHANCE.
