IN 1985 EFI PARTNERED WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS TO DESIGN AND IMPLEMENT SUCCESSFUL RESOURCE CONSERVATION SERVICE AUDIT PROGRAMS FOR ELECTRIC UTILITIES. THIS LED TO EFI SUPPLYING ENERGY EFFICIENCY PRODUCTS FOR INSTALLATION IN HOMES DURING ENERGY AUDITS.TODAY, EFI'S CURRENT WORK CAN LARGELY CAN BE SEGMENTED INTO TWO CATEGORIES:-THE DISTRIBUTION OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY-RELATED PRODUCTS, AND -THE PROVISION OF SERVICES THROUGH WHICH FINANCIAL INCENTIVES ARE USED TO ACCELERATE THE ADOPTION OF ENERGY EFFICIENT TECHNOLOGIES.
