HOUSING PROGRAMS - REDUCING THE RECIDIVISM RATE THE HOSPITALITY SUITE PROVIDED EMERGENCY SHELTER AND SUPPORT SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES TRAVELING TO SIOUX FALLS TO VISIT AN INCARCERATED LOVED ONE. THESE SERVICES ALLOW FAMILIES WITH LIMITED INCOMES TO KEEP THEIR FAMILIES INTACT AND CONTINUE THE HEALING PROCESS. THE HOPE HOUSE PROVIDES TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR WOMEN THAT ARE ON PAROLE OR PROBATION WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO ACHIEVE POSITIVE CHANGE WITH A SOBER LIVING ENVIRONMENT. WOMEN REGAIN THEIR SELF-CONFIDENCE AND LEARN TO LIVE A PRODUCTIVE LIFE IN OUR COMMUNITY. THERAPY PROGRAMS - BREAKING THE INTERGENERATIONAL CYCLE OF INCARCERATION CHILDREN'S CONNECTION, A UNITED WAY AGENCY, PROVIDES GROUP THERAPY IN ELEMENTARY/MIDDLE SCHOOLS IN THE SIOUX EMPIRE REGION TO CHILDREN THAT HAVE/HAD AN INCARCERATED LOVED ONE.
