Mission Statement

THE ORGANIZATIONS MISSION IS TO HUMANELY CONTROL THE POPULATION OF FERAL CATS IN DUPAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS, PRIMARILY THROUGH THE IMPLEMENTATION AND PROMOTION OF A TRAP, NEUTER, RETURN (TNR) PROGRAM. IT AIMS TO EDUCATE LOCAL GOVERNMENTS AND THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE BENEFITS OF TNR, PROVIDE RESOURCES AND COACHING TO FERAL CAT COLONY CARETAKERS AND VETERINARIANS, AND WORK IN COOPERATION WITH OTHER ANIMAL WELFARE ORGANIZATIONS TO ADVANCE TNR OBJECTIVES. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROMOTES THE IMPORTANCE OF SPAYING AND NEUTERING ALL CATS, WHETHER FERAL OR NON-FERAL, AND FOSTERS AND PLACES FOR ADOPTION CATS FOUND TO BE ADOPTABLE THROUGH TNR EFFORTS. THE LONG-TERM GOAL IS TO REDUCE BOTH THE NUMBER OF CATS EUTHANIZED AND THE OVERALL FERAL CAT POPULATION IN DUPAGE COUNTY.
