The purpose of the organization which will refer to as FORCE is to help orthodontic residents fulfill the research component of their programmatic requirements in the following ways. The members of FORCE will act as a practice- based research network providing data and input to surveys conducted by residents undergoing orthodontic training. It will also offer financial support by offsetting certain costs associated with the conducting of clinical and basic science research. Finally,it will provide funding and support for specific continuing education, activities relating to a residents orthodontic training.
