Mission Statement

THE SCHOLARSHIP: ORGANIZED EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES THAT QUALIFY AS EXEMPT UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE, OR THE CORRESPONDING SECTION OF ANY FUTURE COMPARABLE FEDERAL TAX CODE SPECIFICALLY, THE SCHOLARSHIP SHALL WORK TO PROVIDE CHARITABLE EDUCATIONAL NEEDS AWARDED TO GRADUATING STUDENTS FROM THE COMMUNITY OF KEYPORT/UNION BEACH, NEW JERSEY AND KEYPORT HIGH SCHOOL OR ANY SURVIVING EDUCATIONAL ENTITY. NOT FOR PROFIT: THE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP IS AN INCORPORATED ORGANIZATION IN THE COMMONWEALTH OF NEW JERSEY OPERATING ON A NOT-FOR-PROFIT BASIS.
