Mission Statement

THE FRANKIE LEMMON FOUNDATION WAS ESTABLISHED FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF SUPPORTING THE FRANKIE LEMMON SCHOOL AND DEVELOPMENTAL CENTER. ONLY A PORTION OF THE SCHOOL'S TOTAL OPERATING COSTS ARE COVERED BY STATE FUNDING THROUGH THE WAKE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM. THE FRANKIE LEMMON FOUNDATION, THROUGH ITS FUNDRAISING EFFORTS, PROVIDES MOST OF THE FUNDS NEEDED TO SUPPORT THE SCHOOL. THE FOUNDATION IS THE ORGANIZER OF THE TRIANGLE WINE & FOOD EXPERIENCE, ONE OF THE AREA'S MOST SUCCESSFUL FUNDRAISING EVENTS. THE SUCCESS OF THIS EVENT HAS BEEN THE CATALYST FOR LAYING THE GROUNDWORK TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF CHILDREN SERVED BY THE FRANKIE LEMMON SCHOOL AND DEVELOPMENTAL CENTER. THE SCHOOL ALSO SERVES TYPICALLY DEVELOPING CHILDREN WHO PAY TUITION TO ATTEND.
