THE FRANKLIN COUNTY AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY SPONSORS THE FRANKLIN COUNTY FAIR. THE FAIR IS HELD ANNUALLY TO PROMOTE EDUCATION IN DOMESTIC AND AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES FOR THE PEOPLE OF FRANKLIN AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES THROUGH EXHIBITS, COMPETITION, AND DEMONSTRATIONS. THE FAIR ALSO PROVIDES A VENUE FOR YOUTH AND OTHER RESIDENTS TO SHOWCASE PROJECTS THEY HAVE COMPLETED DURING THE YEAR. THE FAIR ALSO PROVIDES ENTERTAINMENT WHICH GENERALLY CONSISTS OF RODEO, BARBECUE, DEMOLITION DERBY AND CARNIVAL. A LIVESTOCK AUCTION FOR THE 4-H AND FFA LIVESTOCK EXHIBITORS CONCLUDES THE FAIR.
