Mission Statement

To develop and maintain a publicly accessible 15-acre environmental sanctuary in Gig Harbor, Washington. The sanctuary is located within the Harbor Hill residential area, which includes apartments, townhomes, single-family homes, and the Heron's Key senior living community. The site includes two detention and settlement ponds originally constructed to collect, detain, and filter stormwater runoff from the surrounding residential neighborhoods and the Heron's Key campus. The organization's purpose is to restore and steward this area as an educational and ecological resource where community members of all ages can explore local wildlife, learn about habitat restoration, and experience the functions of healthy ecosystems.
