THE GALAPAGOS LIFE FUND PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT AND PROMOTES THE PRESERVATION, GROWTH, AND SECURITY OF THE NATURAL CAPITAL OF THE GALAPAGOS ISLANDS AND THEIR MARINE ECOSYSTEMS. IT DOES SO BY GRANTING FUNDING TO RELEVANT ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS LED BY ORGANIZATIONS, GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, AND OTHER ENTITIES ADDRESSING ISSUES RELATED TO BIODIVERSITY, SOCIETY, ECONOMY, SUSTAINABILITY, AND CLIMATE CHANGE. THE FUND MAY ALSO PLEDGE ASSETS TO SECURE LOANS AND OTHER OBLIGATIONS IN ALIGNMENT WITH ITS PURPOSE.
