Mission Statement

A young person with no skills lacks opportunity and will fail. A young person with no goals lacks direction and will get lost. A young person with you self-confidence lacks inner strength and will fall prey to destructive influence and behavior. A young person with no positive role models will never realize what is possible. Garfield High School Foundation empowers young people to make a successful school-to-work transition by creating community-based opportunities for vocational and life-skills training. Through practical experience and classroom learning, students develop the knowledge and attitudes necessary to be successful in school and society.
