Mission Statement

THE MISSION OF THE GRANITE COUNTY CENTER FOUNDATION IS TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR ENHANCED STUDENT LEARNING, FOSTER TEACHER CREATIVITY, AND RECOGNIZE EXCEPTIONAL EDUCATORS IN GRANITE COUNTY SCHOOLS. THE FOUNDATION WILL PROVIDE FINANCIAL RESOURCES FOR STUDENTS AND EDUCATORS IN THE COUNTY SCHOOLS. THE FOUNDATION WILL PROVIDE, FOR EVERY HIGH SCHOOL JUNIOR OR SENIOR IN GRANITE COUNTY SCHOOLS, THE OPPORTUNITY TO BEGIN POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION WHILE ATTENDING HIGH SCHOOL. THIS WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED BY OFFERING QUALITY DUAL-CREDIT CLASSES AND ONLINE CLASSES FOR DUAL CREDIT AT SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED COSTS TO STUDENTS AND BY AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS TO SUCCESSFUL PARTICIPANTS UPON GRADUATION TO ASSIST IN THE COSTS OF POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION.
