Mission Statement

Habitat for Humanity International is a non-profit Christian ministry. Habitat invites people from all faiths and walks of life to work together to build houses with people who could not otherwise afford to own a home. The organization is dedicated to getting rid of sub-standard housing and homelessness worldwide. Habitat for Humanity of the Marshall Area is a local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Local volunteers will join with partner families to build their homes and build friendships. Habitat for Humanity is responsible for fundraising, family selection, house construction and more. Citing regulatory burdens under the federal Dodd-Frank Act, the directors voted to dissolve operations and transfer the Organization's assets to Northeast Texas Habitat for Humanity, Inc. that serves Gregg, Harrison, and Upshur counties by December 31,2017.
